Sort of an update

Once again it is Monday and I am here in my cubicle, quite possibly the worst place in the whole world. From the picture below it does not look so bad but trust me it’s like my own personal torture chamber Monday through fucking Friday! I am still working as the Western Regional Sales Administrator for a delightful transportation company. I like to refer to myself as “Sales Bitch” if you need something you can easily do yourself, here’s a better idea: come irritate the shit out of me for it! I know I should be happy to have a job right now but I’m sorry I’m not. As you can tell I enjoy every minute of my job.

Enough complaining lets update on more interesting things…

Shane is getting ready to go camping and trout fishing in the Sequoias with his cousins this week. We spent Saturday at Bass Pro Shop and Sunday went to Sports Authority to get him geared up. We had a mellow weekend, hid in the air conditioner from the inland empire heat. He is still waiting on the Border Patrol. He has passed the background investigation and all of the tests so we are just waiting for a in or out response. He took the drug test last week so it should not be long. Hurry up Homeland Security!!! I spend most of my time at his house so I do a lot of driving back and forth. I love the 91 (not so much but I do love Fastrac!) We Shane and my parents got me a season pass to Big Bear this winter and we spent most weekends up in the mountains snowboarding my parents also got us Disneyland passes for Christmas so we have been going a lot on week nights. Disneyland and Angels games have been our summer so far. You have to see the Nightastic shows! July 12th he will turn 32!!! Oh man my boyfriend is getting OLD! We will be celebrating at Angels Stadium that Sunday can’t wait!

Lollie is great she just got over bronchitis and got herself a summer hair cut J this will come in handy because our parents just bought a vacation house in Havasu! Its official they signed the final papers Friday afternoon and get the keys this Tuesday. We are all excited for this summer. We will be busy fixing up the house, painting, decorating etc. mostly enjoying the water, the weather and friends. We will haul some of the toys up to the house this weekend and spend our first 4th there. Dad is doing great with his new hip; he is already back up and at it, rehabbing nicely, back at the races, always on the go. Shelly has the summer off and plans on spending some time at the new house. Though I think she has it in her head to spend most of the summer at The Bluewater Casino playing the slots and drinking Strawberry daiquiris ha. Here a story from Shelly’s favorite spot:

A few weeks ago she and I drove out to meet the inspector and see the house. Can I say what an escapade? But how could I have expected any less of a road trip with my mother? She met me at Shane’s early in the morning and we started out on our journey. We talked, laughed and enjoyed each others company. We made excellent time so decided to stop where? That’s right THE CASINO! We both had a cocktail and gambled at 10 am. I lost $30 in about .025 seconds and Shelly sipped her daiquiri and kept playing Monopoly. She went to the bonus round and won $150 bucks! So we left the casino winners or at least she did. As were coming down that hill past the casino my mom asks “Tiff, how fast are you going?” when I look up and see a cop. Needless to say he flips a bitch and pulls us over. I had only had 1 rum and diet coke so I knew I was fine but threw a piece of gum in my mouth anyway. Officer Pete asks for the routine license and registration, no big deal. My Mom has been pulled over oh, once in her entire life and that was in 1979 for running the stop sign on Los Altos haha you’re a wild one mom. So she was nervous. I was fine until Officer Pete asked me to step out of the car and that’s when I got nervous. Ahhh did he know I just had a drink!?!? He asked me did I know why he pulled me over. I answered I was speeding and he asked how fast? To which I responded “Well, when I saw you and hit the brake I looked down and was about 65mph” He didn’t budge at my honesty and answered with a straight face “I got you on the radar going 71mph, do you know what the speed limit is?” Of course I didn’t or else I would have not been going so fast. He said it was 55mph. Shit! 71mph in a 55mph I thought to myself how much is this going to cost me? Must have been my lucky day because Officer Pete wrote me a Waste of Finite ticket not sure what that is but it only cost me $57 instead of $300 something. He wrote my ticket made me sign and told me its 55mph the rest of the way into Havasu City Ms. Fernandez, I said “you got it sir!” and I drove 55mph the rest of the way which amused my mom but irritated the travelers stuck behind me. I guess it is standard practice to stand outside the car because later Officer Pete had some other poor sucker pulled over at the bottom of the same hill and standing outside the car. Man, Officer Pete was on the prowl! Thanks Pete!

Buenos Dias!

Hello Internet! I have been throwing around the idea of a blog for awhile but was a little intimidated and discouraged with comments like “What do you have to write about?” and “for what?!?!?’” (Thanks a lot MOM! you’re really great that way). I texted back and forth with my cousin LuLu about the idea of setting up blogs and when Julie said she was going to setup hers I jumped right on the bandwagon. I do take pleasure in reading everyone’s blogs so many new and exciting ventures! I don’t have super exciting things going on like everyone else. No big move, no engagement ring or wedding to plan, and defiantly NO NO NO baby on the way but I do have a lot of fun being carefree. So, to my Mother’s dismay here we go BLOGGERS! Hopefully no one will be too offended by my vulgarity…
